Role
Responsibilities
As a founding member of Patch Labs, you will work closely with a platform engineer, user experience designer and product manager to create really useful, intuitive software. Specifically, you will:
- Build elegant, responsive user experiences from controller-level to UI
- Code using modern languages (Ruby, HTML/CSS, Javascript)
Requirements
- Passion for building software that makes life easier
- Expert proficiency in modern UI programming languages
- Knowledgeable foundation in interaction design principles
- An understanding of the challenges involved in building popular applications at web scale
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
Given the breadth of scenarios we’ll tackle at Patch Labs, experience or interest in the following would be ideal:
- Client side applications
- Modern client-side libraries like jQuery and YUI
- Mobile development
- Consuming interesting APIs (Twilio, GroupMe, Venmo, Foursquare, Twitter, etc.)
- Geo-location, geometry and mapping
- Comfort with Git
